DESCRIPTION

Residential villa in Vilnius facing the forest with some pine and birch trees in the site. The concept of this project was born during our trip to Japan where we were thinking about the smaller scale and the meaning of details in architecture, that is how this project was born and created – with a tiny narrow inner garden facing both the master bedroom – bathroom and home office areas and dining – living – kitchen space. By the main entry to the site a parking lot with a thin hanging roof above it and a small storage is situated, the main entrance to the house is marked by outdoor skylight. The facade facing the road has almost no windows – just a narrow glazed stripe going along the longitudinal corridor – creating an empty space for home gallery from the inside of the house and gives a possibility of glimpse into a stone garden from the outside.
