DESCRIPTION

There is a huge difference between the meaning and usage of light and shadow in Western and Eastern cultures. In the West – we try to eliminate shadows from the interior and lit everything with even and bright lighting leaving no space for shadows, the shadow itself is associated with mystery, unknown and unclean environment. There is no such thing in the East, in the Eastern aesthetics we can find a lot of shadows and the light is used only to emphasize and highlight important parts of the interior spaces. Very Good Project 42 – our darkest project so far. We are thankful for the trust of the Client and a possibility to create a calm, even and mysterious interior.
