DESCRIPTION

The design object – a residential house consists of multiple architectural elements arranged by following orthogonal tectonic composition principles. The bedrooms, together with supplementary spaces are oriented towards all four cardinal directions thus creating visual connections to the whole surrounding environment as well as inviting a variety of lighting conditions into the interior of the building. Through the use of materiality as well as the scale of the elements, the verticality of the assembly is accentuated. The house does not try to dominate the surrounding environment but rather inherits its color palette through the use of natural copper paired with dark brick materials.
